After the success of last year we can confirm the Materials Ball 2016 will be held on Saturday 27 February 2016 in the Great Hall with a drinks reception prior to the event in the School of Metallurgy and Materials. We welcome and encourage alumni to attend, so please put this date in your diary and more information will be circulated soon!
2015/2016 is set to be a busy and exciting one for BUMS. We aim to continue building on the success of last year’s events, as well as further developing the School community and our association with NucSoc (Nuclear Society).
So far, this academic year has seen great a turnout at our events including the first annual social with NucSoc, a film night, bowling and the careers fair. There are also plenty more in the pipeline including laser tag, a trip to the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas market, our annual Christmas party and pub golf. We have also introduced society hoodies which were hugely popular!
We are looking forward to the rest of the year and hope to see you at the Materials Ball!
