The British Dental Editors’ Forum Annual Young Communicator of the Year Awards were presented at a reception at BDA Headquarters London on September 16th 2014 last. This year’s winners are:
1st place: Miss Binish Khatoon, PhD student University of Birmingham
2nd place: Dr Mona Nasser, Clinical Lecturer, University of Plymouth
The aim of the British Dental Editors Forum is to encourage high quality and ethical publication and communication in dentistry. Each year it recognises the achievement and future potential of young dental communicators and writers through its Young Communicator of the Year Award. All young communicators, who were under 35 years of age and were living in the UK at the time their communications were published, are eligible to compete for a first prize of £500 and a second prize of £250. These prizes are sponsored by the British Dental Industry Association. This year, Binish Khatoon won the first prize for a paper which was published in the British Dental Journal. For the first time a prize (the second prize) was awarded not for a paper but for an online presentation.
