Join us for an exclusive online discussion with an expert panel of Birmingham’s world-class cancer researchers. They will share how the generous support from our donors is helping them to improve cancer survival rates faster, and reduce the impact of COVID-19 on cancer patients and their families. Hear from:
- Professor Pam Kearns, Director of the Institute of Cancer and Genomics (UoB) and Director of the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit
- Professor Andrew Beggs, Professor of Cancer Genetics & Surgery in the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences (UoB) and Consultant Colorectal & General Surgeon (Queen Elizabeth Hospital)
- Dr Frank Mussai, Clinical Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Oncology in the Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy (UoB) and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Oncology (Birmingham Children’s Hospital)
- Dr Rik Bryan, Leader of the Bladder Cancer Group in the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences (UoB)
The panel will be chaired by Professor David Adams (MBChB, 1981; MD, 1990),
Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Medical and Dental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
The event will be hosted on Zoom and questions are welcome in advance or on the evening.
