Mobile Apps in Research Summit

The Mobile Apps in Research Summit is the only event in the country to bring together academics, developers and industry experts to explore the future of mobile apps in research.

The MARS Summit features case studies, demos and discussions on mobile apps for data gathering and as products of research, both as tools for professionals and for public engagement. Apps for citizen science, apps in heritage and culture, medical apps and apps from beyond the UK are featured. Delegates will have the chance to participate in two workshops addressing key issues as well as a networking lunch. You can visit the MARS website to view the full programme of events.

Registration costs £15 pounds for internal and external candidates and it includes lunch, refreshments and access to sessions. Please print your booking confirmation email and bring it with you to the registration counter on the day of the event.

This event is open to both University of Birmingham staff and external delegates. As the event sold out last year it is advisable to book early. Once all tickets are allocated there will be a waiting list.

The MARS Summit is organised by the IT Innovation Centre and Ideas Lab
