Antimicrobial Resistance - Institute for Global Innovation

Antibiotics are crucially important drugs in the treatment of infectious diseases. However, bacteria that have evolved resistance to antimicrobials are spreading rapidly and this is now perceived as one of the major threats to healthcare. In this lecture, Professor Van Schaik will give an introduction on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and will highlight how multi-disciplinary collaborations are required to confront this global challenge.
