About: This masterclass will cover spectroscopic methods (IR, NMR, Mass Spec) and their relevance to society, from applications in analytical science to their part in addressing global challenges in sustainability. The masterclass will involve a talk, followed by interactive practical demonstrations and hands-on use of instruments in our collaborative teaching laboratory, culminating in a problem solving challenge. Academics and current undergraduate and postgraguate students will be running and demonstrating the session.
Please note this masterclass is repeated on Wednesday 1 March.
Additional information: Schools will be limited to 10 places for this class. Individual bookings can be made by students in Years 12 and 13.
