DESIblitz Literature Festival, the UK's leading South Asian Literature Festival, champions new writers by providing a platform to present their work to a live audience.

At this special event showcasing emerging writers, discover great new talent in fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and more, and be among the first to witness potential future stars in British Asian writing. The authors will read their literary works based on the theme "A Place To Call Home," expressing their personal connection to home.

Hosted by Pamela Jabbar, featured writers include Anisa Butt, Naushad Ramji, Sumera Farman, and Davina Bhanabhai.


This event is part of the DESIblitz Literature Festival 2023 and is presented at The Exchange as part of A Place to Call Home a new public programme of exhibitions, activities and events exploring what home means to all of us. Understand diverse experiences through the eyes of people who have lived through them and find out about the latest social justice research at the University of Birmingham.
