The Cadbury Research Library welcomes staff and students of the University of Birmingham and all members of the public. The archive material and rare books in our care can only be consulted in our searchroom once you have registered with us (see below for details).
The Cadbury Research Library is located on the Lower Ground floor of Muirhead Tower on the Edgbaston campus of the University of Birmingham. We are accessible through the foyer area of the building. Take the lift or stairs from the foyer down to the Lower Ground (LG) floor and then follow the signs to the Cadbury Research Library: Special Collections.

We are open over lunchtime but do no retrieve material from our stores between 1-2pm
* Please note: requests for material must be placed by 4.15pm or 4.30pm on Thursdays. If you are visiting on our late Thursday opening and are arriving after 4.30pm you will need to pre-order the material you wish to consult.
The Cadbury Research Library is closed on all University closed days.
To access the Cadbury Research Library you must register for a reader's ticket on your first visit. It is free to register but official photographic identification is needed. A valid University of Birmingham staff or student ID card can also be used as proof of identification.
There are lifts to the side and rear of Muirhead Tower which will take you up to the main foyer area of the building. From here you will need to use the internal Muirhead Tower lift to the Lower Ground floor (LG) to reach the Cadbury Research Library reception.
