China Scholarship Council – University of Birmingham PhD ScholarshipsExternal, UniversityClosed 09/02/2024 (Note: competition closed for this year)

Up to 10 full PhD scholarships covering full payment of tuition fees (at the 'overseas' fee rate) and any associated bench fees, paid for by the University of Birmingham, and a maintenance stipend and return international airfare between the UK and China, paid for by the China Scholarship Council.

The UoB is offering up to 10 joint funded PhD scholarships in collaboration with the China Scholarship Council (the 'CSC'). Scholarships will be awarded to candidates seeking entry to a PhD programme in Autumn 2024.
Disability AwardsUniversityClosed 31/12/2023 (Note: competition closed for this year)

Up to five awards of up to £600 are usually available. Each award is tenable for one year only, however previous applicants may reapply in subsequent years.

Offering awards of around £600, this scheme is open to all students currently studying at the University who have a disability.

The University of Birmingham is offering a scholarship for international students, the Global Masters Scholarship, an award of £2,000 to provide support for students commencing their Masters degree in 2024/25.

 Sanctuary Scholars will receive:

  • A full-tuition fee waiver for the duration of your course.
  • A yearly £5,000 payment to help with study costs, paid monthly.
  • A fully-funded place in University-owned accommodation for the duration of your course.
