Award Description
The School of Mathematics is keen to attract well-motivated and able students to engage in research mathematics and invite applications for scholarships from those students who have applied for a place on the Mathematics PhD programme. The awards are funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
Value of Award
These scholarships cover all tuition fees and a maintenance allowance of £16,062 (2022/23).
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarships are currently available to UK students studying a Mathematics course at postgraduate research level.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, please indicate this when asked 'how do you intend to fund your studies?' on the application form.
Deadline for applications falls at 12:00 on:
1 August 2023
Later scholarship applications may be considered subject to available funding.
Applicants are encouraged to make contact with individual members of staff to find out further information about particular research areas.
