Fahad Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Birmingham Business School. Prior to this, he worked as a Lecturer in Marketing at the School of Management, Swansea University (2019-2021) and as Teaching Fellow at Birmingham Business School, UoB (2018-2019).
Fahad has completed his PhD in Management from the University of Hull (2019), receiving the University Studentship Award. He also holds a MSc in Marketing Management from the University of Hull (2010) and Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing and International Marketing from North South University, Bangladesh (2009). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and holds a certificate in Postgraduate Research Training.
His interest in research is primarily driven by his passion for marketing and focuses on consumer research, service marketing, strategic marketing, innovation, digital, big data, & AI marketing. However, he is also interested in topics such as management commitment & leadership, employee relationship & behaviour, which have very profound roles in marketing. He likes to use both quantitative and qualitative methods to address different research problems. He has published in the highly regarded journals, including Journal of Travel Research, Journal of Business Research, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. In addition, different working papers are in the process at various stages of development. Fahad also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several academic journals. He has supervised a PhD student to successful completion and is currently interested in supervising PhD students.
He also has industry experiences and worked as strategy development manager in advertising industry. He has managed brands such as Lafarge Holcim Cement, Chevron, Coca-Cola, Pan Pacific Hotel, USAID, Swisscontact & Action Aid in Bangladesh. Fahad and his team have developed internal strategic marketing campaign for an international brand, which have been adopted in 64 different countries worldwide.
