This ESRC-funded research investigates the complex socioeconomic and ecological reality of agrarian Egypt against small farmers’ experiences and perceptions of adaptation and resilience.

Profile

Marwa’s research interests lie at the intersections of justice, small farming and agrarian and rural change. She adopts different lenses embedded in the interdisciplinarity of political ecology and critical agrarian studies. Before starting her PhD, Marwa worked for more than 7 years in development research and practice on topics related to social protection, labour, gender and rural development.
