D'arcy Ritchie

D’arcy has been at the University of Birmingham studying Political Science and International Relations since 2013. She was awarded a first-class undergraduate degree in politics and international relations and the international relations prize for highest scoring dissertation. D’arcy has since achieved distinctions at masters level in International Relations with a Gender Pathway and in Social Research as part of the ESRC 1+3 scholarship. D’arcy is currently teaching as a PGTA in POLSIS and is co-convening the Gender and Feminist Theory Research Group based in POLSIS.

D’arcy’s doctoral research explores the feminist politics of shame drawing on poststructuralism and phenomenology. Exploring the case of Image Based Sexual Abuse this research explores the multifaceted and intersectional impact of shame and its implications for feminist futures.
