I have been working in the field of Educational Enhancement for over ten years and am currently a Projects Advisor within the Educational Development Team.  This role involves providing guidance and support to the diverse range of staff involved in Enhancement Projects on all areas of project design, management, and dissemination, with a particular emphasis on approaches to evaluation.

I have a specific interest in assessment and feedback and teach on this across a number of programmes. I am also available to advise on enhancing assessment and feedback practice, and to deliver bespoke workshops.

Feedback and office hours

Tuesday and Wednesday until 2.30, Thursday all day.

PgDip in Youth and Community Development Work (2002); University of Birmingham
BA (Hons) American and Canadian Studies (1995); University of Birmingham

PRINCE2 Project Management (2008)
Certificate in People Management (Institute of Leadership and Management) (2011)

Biography

I joined the University in 2007 as a Research Projects Officer in the Learning Development Unit, supporting educational enhancement projects across the University, with a particular focus on designing and implementing evaluation tools and monitoring their effectiveness in measuring project outcomes. I moved to my current role in 2010.

Before moving to Higher Education I worked for ten years in the voluntary sector, latterly as a Community Development Manager.
