As Teaching Fellow in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Birmingham, Inês is the Subject Liaison for Portuguese Studies and the Year Abroad Programme Coordinator for Portuguese Studies. Inês is also the General-Secretary of ABIL (Association of British and Irish Lusitanists).
At Birmingham, Inês currently teaches modules on Portuguese culture, film, literature, and language. She is the convenor of the Final Year Portuguese modules, as well as the optional modules LC Roots of Inequality: Race, Gender and the Legacies of Colonialism in the Global South and LC Roots of Inequality: Race, Gender and the Legacies of Colonialism in the Global North.
Inês currently supervises MA students in EDACS – School of English, Drama and Creative Studies.
