I am involved in teaching across all years of the programme, particularly in modules focusing on employability skills for translators and careers in the language services industry. I deliver sessions on audio description as part of the Final Year of the Translation Studies pathway and co-deliver a module on our MA in Translation devoted to Multimodal Translation. I also lecture on the work of French writers and filmmakers, especially contemporary authors such as Amélie Nothomb and Nina Bouraoui. I am interested in the diverse technical innovations within writing by women authors, as well as questions surrounding the reception and marketing of their work.
In March 2020, I was awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
