Dr Kokkinis' research interests include corporate governance, bank corporate governance, and financial regulation. His published work encompasses one monograph, two advanced textbooks, one edited book, twenty journal articles, six book chapters and several other outputs. His research to date focuses on three main themes. Second, normative work on corporate law that draws from moral and political philosophy, most notably his 2020 JCLS article reconceptualising the potential of worker participation in corporate management, his 2024 JCLS article on investor personhood and the case against paternalism and welfarism in corporate law, and his 2026 JCLS article on expanding negligence liability for those exercising control over liable companies. Third, broader work on financial regulation including work on the adjustments to the regulatory regime during the Covid pandemic, on the regulation of Non-Performing Loans, and on regulating financial technologies.
