Giovanni is an experimentalist whose activities spread over a diverse range of systems with quantum properties. His research include quantum simulations with ultracold atoms, the study of thermodynamics in the quantum regime, the development of highly charged ion clocks for detection of dark matter and dark energy, cavity quantum electrodynamics, and the development of quantum devices for brain diagnostics.
