Dr Lari Koponen develops technology to enable simultaneous transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and magnetoencephalography (MEG). He uses TMS to study the motor cortex.

Biography

Dr Lari Koponen did his PhD at Aalto University, where he developed the electronically steerable TMS technology. He subsequently worked at Duke University, where he developed the double-containment TMS coil for quiet TMS before joining the University of Birmingham as a Marie Curie Research Fellow.
