PhD studentship competition winners

The Shakespeare Institute would like to congratulate Stephanie Appleton, Claude Fretz, Victoria Jackson, John Langdon, and Adam Seddon on their recent successes in the University of Birmingham’s 2011/12 PhD studentship competition.

Claude Fretz, who will work with Dr Erin Sullivan and Professor Michael Dobson, was awarded a College of Arts and Law studentship; John Langdon, who will work with Professor Ewan Fernie and Dr Richard House (Creative Writing), was awarded an Elite Doctoral studentship; and Adam Seddon, who will work with Professor Ewan Fernie, was awarded an AHRC studentship. Stephanie Appleton and Victoria Jackson, both of whom work with Dr Tara Hamling, were awarded School funding from History and Cultures.
