More than 100 free events and activities brought families and the wider public onto campus and the College of Arts and Law played a full part with a series of lectures, workshops and performances.

Simon Fairbanks and Gulara Vincent had good advice for writers on self-publishing world-wide and overcoming writers' block. Professor Nick Crowson followed up his recent BRIHC Spring Series lecture on homelessness, with a focus this time on the mass squatting of military camps in 1946. Professor Ewan Fernie discussed the amazing ideas and international connections of George Dawson who founded the Shakespeare Memorial Library.
