You can pay using the University of Birmingham’s Bank Transfer Platform powered by our partner Western Union Business Solutions: https://student.globalpay.wu.com/geo-buyer/unibham
This service is available to all students home and overseas. If you are an international student this service allows you to make payment in your local or recognised currency and from your home bank account, without having to worry about exchange rates or bank charges.
Simply enter your ID number and details, the amount you want to pay, your chosen currency and you will be supplied with a quote for the amount in your local currency. This quotation is guaranteed for 72 hours during which time you should instruct your bank to transfer funds to Western Union Business Solutions who then will forward the sterling payment to the University of Birmingham.
Benefits of Western Union:
- No transaction charges
- Favourable exchange rates compared to most banks
- Reduced bank fees because transfer is initiated locally
- Full payment amount received by University of Birmingham
Please include the following information with your payment details:

- Post-dated cheques will NOT be accepted.
- Please send your cheque to :

- You are paying for your course with a bank loan
Once the details of your sponsor have been received an invoice will be issued for payment.
Please note that if we fail to receive payment from your financial sponsor you will be liable for payment of the tuition fees.
Cancellations and refunds
After you have accepted your offer of a place, you can cancel your acceptance within the cancellation period without giving us any reason. The cancellation period runs for 14 days from the date we accept your application. If you cancel your place within the cancellation period, any deposit or administration or other fees you have paid will normally be refunded in full. If you start your course during the cancellation period, the University will charge you a reasonable sum for the course provided.
Your presessional deposit is not normally refundable if you withdraw from the course outside the cancellation period. It can be held for you if you need to defer your place, or if you have permission to transfer to a different presessional course. Please refer to the Presessional Refund Policy for full details.
You can cancel your place by informing the Birmingham International Academy by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
