Length of course (EAP)
The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course lasts between 42 and 6 weeks depending on your level of English, so you can be sure the course is tailored to your needs.
Choosing a course length
The length of EAP course you should go on depends on your current level of English and the level required by the degree course you wish to apply for. Under the headings below, which specify the IELTS requirement in your university offer letter, you will find the EAP presessional entry requirement for each length of course.
IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each band requirement in your offer
This requirement applied to all courses in the following departments: Biosciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Englineering, Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering (research), Metallurgy & Materials, Physics & Astronomy, and Sport & Exercise Science.
