When you step onto campus, you are immersed in our historic red-brick buildings and glorious green spaces. You'll find our Edgbaston campus both a peaceful and vibrant place to spend your time, whether it's studying on one of the lawns, or enjoying a hot drink in one our many cafes.
When you are on campus, you are in the heart of University life - it's the perfect place to meet friends, whether it's to have a bite to eat, discuss your seminar notes or meet up before heading off to a sports club or society.
You can also take advantage of our fantastic facilities on campus. Study in our state-of-the-art academic library with its stunning views over campus, or go for a swim after lectures at our £55 million Sport and Fitness Club.

Groups and Societies
The Guild of Students offers support and advice to all students, and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends and really get involved in university life. We have over 250 different societies, loads of sports groups, so whether you've always wanted to try something new, volunteer in the local community or you want to continue with a much loved hobby, there's something for everyone here!
Accommodation
We want you to feel at home during your stay at Birmingham. For this reason, we guarantee accommodation to international students for their first year of academic study.* We have three accommodation villages, each offering a safe and friendly place to live, just a short walk from the main university campus. There is also the option of either self-catered accommodation or Student Living Plus rooms, where you can choose to eat in over 30 food outlets on campus and at the Vale Village.
