Our research expertise spans a wide range of topics, from jurisprudence to justice, healthcare to human rights.
We welcome research proposals from various perspectives, including comparative, doctrinal, historical, international, theoretical, ethical, socio-legal and criminological approaches to law.
Our postgraduate researchers are actively involved in the life of the School and regularly organise and participate in research events, such as conferences, seminars and forums, skills workshops, and research group meetings.

Birmingham has a strong reputation in human rights law and socio-legal studies, making it the ideal place for my research. The Law School also offers workshops and training on empirical legal research, which supports my methodology.
