Sarah Lee

Sarah qualified as a solicitor, after studying law at the University of Birmingham. She was a partner of the international law firm Slaughter and May from 1999 until the end of 2020 when she retired as a partner.
During her time at Slaughter and May, Sarah was Head of the Dispute and Investigations Group, where her practice covered all aspects of major commercial disputes, often involving multiple jurisdictions. She also sat on the firm’s Partnership Board, led the Graduate Recruitment Team for many years and was the firm’s first partner with responsibility for Diversity and Inclusion
Since retiring as a partner, Sarah has held several non-executive roles, including Commissioner of the Judicial Appointments Commission, Non-Executive Director of the Financial Ombudsman Service, Rare Recruitment and Rare Technology and currently the Vice Chair of the Independent Press Standards Organisation. She is also the Chair of a grant giving charity, the Cripplegate Foundation, and sits on the Board of Islington Giving.
