Sustainable developments in Dubai

The subtropical desert climate on our Dubai campus means our efforts in the United Arab Emirates are particularly crucial.  Our Dubai campus is designed to embrace sustainable practices, ensuring we lead in corporate environmental responsibility. Our modern building adapts to changes in technology, learning, and climate.

Given the arid climate in Dubai and the high cost and environmental impact of converting seawater into potable water, it’s essential that we use water efficiently and sparingly on campus. We only use recycled treated sewage effluent water for our campus landscaping.

We are implementing a range of initiatives to reduce energy consumption across our Dubai campus, including prioritising the purchase of energy-efficient equipment. Our equipment, which meets green cleaning requirements, features AGM batteries, ergonomic design, filtration technologies, noise abatement, and chemical saving technologies.

We use eco-friendly products for all cleaning and maintenance activities on campus to minimise our environmental impact, protect indoor air quality, optimise energy usage, and enhance our recycling processes.

All waste generated on our Dubai campus is recycled, and we have a strict No Food Waste Policy on campus; any excess food from events is distributed to service staff.

Our campus community play a key role in embedding environmentally responsible practices on campus, ensuring we use our buildings responsibly, so we don’t waste energy or water and we reduce waste. All staff are encouraged to report any building issues or campus service issues promptly to the Dubai Campus FM Helpdesk.
