Alumni Employability Insight Survey - Participant information

The University is seeking to develop a new employability strategy, and in doing so is keen to learn the views of our students and alumni.

We are particularly interested in gathering your reflections on the careers support you received whilst at the University of Birmingham and about your working life since graduating. These insights will help to shape the employability experience at the University for current and future students.

The survey will only take a few minutes of your time and participation in this survey is entirely voluntary, you can withdraw your data from the survey up until the date you have participated, without giving a reason. After this period, it will be anonymised for subsequent analysis and so you will no longer be able to withdraw from the project.

More information is available on how the University uses your personal data and your rights.

In return for your input in this survey, you will be entered into a prize draw to potentially win a £100 Amazon voucher.

This anonymised data will be analysed by Gradcore in order for them to seek personal and professional views on the current employability offer from the University of Birmingham, which will inform our evolving employability strategy. Any data collected will be retained for the duration of the current academic year 2020/21 and will be deleted at the end of the year.

The data will inform a report shared with the University of Birmingham with a set of clear recommendations to seek to improve the employability offer, and delivery of support to students and graduates. Any data that is used in these ways will be anonymised, and will not be presented in a way that an individual could be identified.

The project is being funded by the University of Birmingham.

To withdraw from this project, please contact the principle investigator, Etta Parkes-Firth (Careers Network, University of Birmingham) by emailing: careersenquiries@contacts.bham.ac.uk
