Alex Webb and Skye Deane
Alex Webb (BA Sport and Recreation Studies, 1995; PGCE,1996) and Skye Deane (BSc Physiotherapy, 2006), co-founders of Resilient Women Leaders™, were announced as winners at the Woman Who Live and Achieves Awards 2026.
The award recognises excellence in business and celebrates organisations making a significant impact on women’s leadership, confidence and career progression.
Although the pair attended the University of Birmingham ten years apart, their paths converged when they trained as Resilient Leaders Consultants. Discovering a shared passion for supporting women to lead with clarity and confidence, they went on to co-found Resilient Women Leaders™ in 2006 and now work with individuals and organisations across the UK and internationally.
Skye explains that their work ‘helps women build the inner and outer confidence to lead with intention, resilience and impact’, and Alex said that receiving ‘recognition here in Birmingham, where both our stories started, felt incredibly special.’
