From television and sport to research and government, the University of Birmingham has outstanding alumni across all sectors, including the Nobel prize-winning geneticist Sir Paul Nurse (BSc Biology, 1970), television and theatre actress Tamsin Greig (BA Drama and Theatre Arts, 1988) and former Manchester United Chief Executive and FA Vice-Chairman David Gill (BCom Industrial, Economic and Business Studies, 1978).
