Studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham Dubai provides the foundation for making informed and strategic business decisions.

BSc Accounting and Finance is accredited by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education

Accounting and Finance plays a vital role in any business. By studying the BSC Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham Dubai, you will receive the practical grounding required to start your career in this exciting industry along with a wider appreciation of business within a global, legal and social environment that can be applied in a range of different contexts.

Why study this course?

Accounting and finance is a universal language that crosses borders. Our globally respected programme teaches you the roles and responsibilities that apply in whichever country you choose to practise in.

  • Our student-staff ratio is small, so you will get to know your tutor personally and will be able to tailor your study to your personal needs
  • You will study at one of the handful of business schools in the UK that holds the prestigious ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
  • You will benefit from collaboration with the UK campus and access highly qualified lecturers, who will share their international experience to offer you an enriched education
  • You can take an international exchange period in your second year at a number of partner institutions across the world
  • On successful completion of your degree, you may be eligible for exemptions from a number of professional examinations offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Modules are based on the respected UK programme but tailored to the requirements of Dubai

The Accounting and Finance BSc programme

As part of your first year of study on our Accounting and Finance course, you will complete 6 core modules. During the second year you will focus on employability through a range of department-organised events designed to help you secure a graduate position at the end of your degree. The modules you take in the third year are designed to raise your knowledge to a managerial level, equipping you with the tools you need to be successful at a senior level within the accounting and finance sector.

Not only did my course prove to be flexible, but it covered a wide range of topics which will help to shape my career after graduation. I would recommend Birmingham Business School to anyone intending to study a related degree because the broad scope of knowledge which is gained in a small amount of time is rather impressive compared to other Institutions offering the same discipline.
