Cathy Rogers is a senior policy researcher at Social Change Lab. She will present a recently published report 'AI is on the march. Is the AI safety movement ready?' exploring how civil society is mobilising through protest, education, and advocacy to address rapidly advancing AI risks. Followed by a Q&A and discussion.
This talk is part of a monthly series from the Contentious Politics of AI network. The network offers a space for those who want to research, study, and make visible (and possible) ways that AI is being, and can be, challenged. It is open to all - academics, policy researchers, and activists interested in ways that AI is contested.
