Join artist Michael D. Kennedy to explore Chalk Cliffs in the Sun by Otto Dix, one of Germany’s most influential modern artists.
Made during the First World War, the drawing shows a damaged landscape beginning to grow again, using striking shapes and a glowing sun. Have a go at making your own pictures and stories inspired by the artwork.
Suitable for children aged 4 – 10 years and their grown-ups.
This event is free; drop in anytime.
Facilities and accessibility
We’re committed to making The Exchange as welcoming and accessible as possible. There’s step-free access and accessible toilets on all floors, plus a Changing Places toilet on the basement level. Guide dogs and assistance animals are always welcome. If you have any questions about access, just drop us an email at engage@contacts.bham.ac.uk.
Baby facilities
If you're attending with little ones, we’ve got you covered! A wall-mounted changing bench is available in both the ground-floor male and female toilets. We also welcome breastfeeding anywhere, but if you’d prefer a bit of privacy, there’s a baby feeding room available on the ground floor.
