Join us for an inspiring day, where Year 12 students can explore some of the challenges facing our world today (Recommended for teachers and their students).

Discover how researchers are developing solutions for a healthier, more sustainable future. Students will hear from leading academics across a range of disciplines and gain insight into how university research is tackling global issues. 

What to expect

  • Short talks from University of Birmingham researchers in areas such as Geography, Biosciences, Sport and Psychology
  • A fun and engaging quiz
  • An inspiring keynote talk - To be confirmed. Previously we have had Gregory David- Kumar, science and environmental correspondent for BBC Midlands. Also a talk on Marine Research from one of our leading researchers and an engaging segment from our future Geography teachers.
  • Opportunities to explore interdisciplinary approaches to real-world challenges
