The Earth Heritage Network is a new interdisciplinary initiative led from the University of Birmingham dedicated to understanding and elevating the significance of Earth Heritage - the rocks, fossils, minerals, soils, and landforms that shape the planet’s landscapes, ecologies, and cultural histories. Its overarching ambition is to transform how society perceives and engages with the Earth, positioning Earth Heritage as essential to building fairer and more sustainable futures in a time of profound environmental and social change.

Bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers from across the natural, physical and social sciences, arts, and humanities, the Network seeks to move beyond the traditionally narrow scientific framing of Earth Heritage by developing innovative, cross-disciplinary approaches to long-standing and emerging challenges.
