Join a team of researchers from Rolls-Royce and the Universities of Birmingham, Oxford and Greenwich for the day, to hear from the ARCANE team about the ground-breaking modelling and experimental methods they are developing to investigate metal casting and material properties. Whilst the ARCANE project is focused on nickel superalloys the methods developed have potential for more widespread application in the fields of: grain refinement; refractories for liquid metal processing; simulation of solidification microstructures and defects; materials testing at high temperatures; and, application of computer science methods in high value manufacturing.

This free to attend one day conference is being held at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, University of Birmingham.
