From lab to laptop: How artificial intelligence and machine learning are reshaping chemical research
Discover how artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI and ML) are changing how we explore and understand chemistry.

- DateWednesday, 4 February 2026 (13:00 - 15:00) (UK)
- LocationLG12, Murray Learning Centre, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2FG
In this masterclass, students will learn how chemists are harnessing the power of AI and ML to automate experiments, predict chemical properties, and speed up the discovery of new material.
Through a beginner-friendly introduction and hands-on coding tutorial, students will learn foundational coding skills and explore applications of AI and ML in chemical research. No prior experience with AI and ML or programming will be needed.
This event is open to Year 12 students only.
