Environmental Science & Environmental Change and Sustainability Information Day

If you're just starting to research universities, missed our June Open Day, or can't attend one of our main Open Days, our Environmental Science & Environmental Change and Sustainability Information Day is a great opportunity to discover what it's like to study at the University of Birmingham.

Designed for students passionate about the environment and creating a more sustainable future, this event offers an early introduction to our environmental programmes. You'll have the opportunity to explore our campus, meet academics and current students, and discover how our degrees equip you to tackle global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution and sustainable resource management.

If you're able to attend one of our full Open Days on 10 October or 14 November, we encourage you to do so, as these events include the full programme of subject talks, exhibitions and student experiences. Our Information Day is the perfect first step if you're beginning your university journey or are unable to attend an Open Day.

What to expect

Join us on campus for a relaxed and informative event where you'll:

• Meet academic staff and current students.
• Learn about our Environmental Science and Environmental Change and Sustainability degrees.
• Explore our teaching facilities and discover how fieldwork, laboratory work and research are embedded throughout your studies.
• Find out about placements, study abroad opportunities and career pathways.
• Learn more about student life and the UCAS application process.
• Ask questions and receive guidance to help you make informed university choices.

It's particularly suitable if you:

• missed our June Open Day due to the heatwave, travel disruption or school closures;
• are beginning your university research early;
• are passionate about environmental issues and sustainability;
• would prefer a smaller, more relaxed event; or
• are planning an early UCAS application.

Parents, carers and guests are also welcome.
