The Lapworth Museum of Geology is screening Night at the Museum (2006) on Tuesday, 29 September and Thursday, 1 October as part of a special, students-only, after hours event.
---
Join us to watch Night at the Museum (2006), the story of one night guard's fantastical adventures in the awe-inspiring Natural History Museum.
The hallowed halls of the Natural History Museum are lined with the most amazing things - wild-eyed prehistoric creatures, fierce ancient warriors, long lost tribes, African animals and history’s legendary heroes - all frozen forever in time. Or... are they?
In the action-adventure-comedy, the brand new night guard, Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), is about to discover that when the visitors go home at the end of the day, the real adventure begins – as the museum’s stuffed, waxed and well-preserved residents come out to play.
---
The film will be screened in the most fitting venue around - the Lapworth Museum itself!
Explore our fascinating collections taking you back through 4.6 billion years of history. Then sit down for a chilled movie night, enjoy watching a heartwarming comedy-adventure next to our Allosaurus Roary.
Perfect for those looking for a relaxed, cosy event in a unique, inspiring venue.
---
Please note this event is for students only. Please ensure you bring your student ID card with you to the event.
The event is open to all students, not just students from the University of Birmingham.
Doors will open at 18:30, the film will start at 19:00.
There will be some soft drinks and snacks but we recommend to bring your own.
