Poem Explosion

What to expect

• Join poet and academic Betsy Porritt for a playful writing workshop exploring Sean Bonney’s On the Hatred of the Sun (2019)

• Through close reading and creative prompts, you’ll take the poem apart, rework it, and create something of your own.

• No poetry experience needed!

Work created in the session will be shared at Shakespeare’s Cosmos on Wednesday 21 October.

The café in the Banking Hall is open throughout the event and serves hot and cold drinks.

Take the opportunity to see Helios, a vast illuminated sculpture by British artist Luke Jerram depicting the surface of the sun using NASA imagery.
