Radiant Dawn | Gesualdo Six and Matilda Lloyd

A stunning programme exploring different shades of light through vocal and trumpet music.
Six young men in black suits and a young woman in a silver dress holding a trumpet, standing in an old warehouse.

Barber Evening Concert

The Gesualdo Six join forces with trumpeter Matilda Lloyd to present a stunning programme that explores different shades of light through music. Works from the Golden Age of polyphony by Tallis and White are juxtaposed with modern compositions by Roxanna Panufnik, Alec Roth, and Deborah Pritchard. Highlights include Sir James MacMillan’s O radiant dawn, an evocative setting from the composer’s ‘Strathclyde Motets’, alongside Richard Barnard’s Aura, co-commissioned by the artists.
