Barber Evening Concert
Following an exciting recording session in the Elgar Concert Hall earlier this year, Steven Isserlis and Connie Shih perform Moscheles’ Sonata Op.121 from their forthcoming album, 1851. This concert brings the University’s rare Erard 1851 grand piano, which was used for the album, to the stage for an authentic recreation of the sound-world of the period, with repertoire from Jan Stiastny, Schumann, and Beethoven.
