Stuart Hall Archive Project - Mockingbird Cinema

The Stuart Hall Archive Project 2023 – 2026 is coming to its conclusion. To honour this occasion, two new films have been commissioned that have taken their inspiration from the archives of Professor Stuart Hall deposited with the Cadbury Research Library at the University of Birmingham:

1. 'The Raid V5', produced and directed by Sima Gonsai explores women carving space for themselves through Kabaddi, a sport played on a single breath (5 minutes).
2. 'SHAP STRANDS', filmed and produced by Lalita Ajit features interviews with the team behind The Stuart Hall Archive Project (32 minutes).

Followed by Q&A with the filmmakers and the Stuart Hall Archive Project team.
