Please note: tickets for this tour will be available from 10.00am on Saturday 15 August.

Dr. Justine Pick is the research lead on Unlocking the Vaults, a National Lottery Heritage Funded project to explore the history and legacy of Birmingham Municipal Bank. Using images and stories, Justine will highlight the experiences of customers and staff and share research uncovered by volunteer researchers on the project.

  • A chance to explore our new Unlocking the Vaults exhibition in our basement vaults room

The café in the Banking Hall is open throughout the event and serves hot and cold drinks.

Take the opportunity to see Helios, a vast illuminated sculpture by British artist Luke Jerram depicting the surface of the sun using NASA imagery.

Facilities and accessibility

This talk takes place in The Vaults, which is accessible by stairs and lift.
