Sooty Terns spend almost their entire lives in flight, travelling tens of thousands of kilometres over our tropical oceans.

Dr Jim Reynolds, Assistant Professor in Ornithology and Animal Conservation at the University of Birmingham, shares insights from years of research on these extraordinary birds. From Ascension Island to the high seas, discover how they migrate, feed and breed, and how technology informs us of their adaptations to the challenges of the modern world.
