Welcome to UKLVC 16!
UKLVC is a conference held every two years with a focus on international research on language variation and change, sociolinguistics, and dialectology, as well as applications of these branches of linguistics to a variety of different fields. We seek to encourage diversity in theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of language variation in all of its forms and across a wide range of linguistic and cultural contexts.
We welcome research on spoken languages, co-speech gesture, and signed languages. The languages of the conference will be English and British Sign Language (BSL).
