World Anatomy Day 2026

Come and join us this October for Birmingham’s World Anatomy Day interactive free event! Explore all the wonderful ways your body works, from cells to organs, from birth to death, and all the astonishing bits in-between!

This is the fourth World Anatomy Day that anatomy staff and students from University of Birmingham have hosted, and this year we’re even bigger and better. Ever wondered what a heart murmur sounds like, how we run or exercise, or what actually happens as we age?

This year’s theme, ‘Anatomy is for Everyone’, will answer all your questions and more! Interactive stalls for all ages will guide you through every region of the human body and highlight the similarities we share and what makes us unique. Win prizes for identifying body parts, diagnose a patient, or take part in our anatomy life drawing activity! Just drop-in on the day for free.

This diverse and inclusive event has activities for all abilities and knowledge levels, so come and join us upstairs at The Midlands Art Centre in Cannon Hill Park Birmingham on Saturday 24^th October!
