Birmingham Law School's Pro Bono Group fundraising team have repeated the success of last year's charitable clothing drive in support of SIFA Fireside, a charity that helps some of the most vulnerable members of our local community with practical services and solutions for clients experiencing homelessness, addiction-related problems, or social exclusion.
Thanks to the generosity of Law School staff and students, we were able to deliver a large quantity of warm clothes and sleeping bags to the charity's premises in the Digbeth area of Birmingham. Our fundraising team members, Victoria Adeturinmo and Jacqueline Angelakis, were welcomed by Lynn Evans, the charity's Resettlement and Move on Manager. During a busy morning drop-in service, Lynn took the time to offer Victoria and Jacqueline a tour of the invaluable facilities and they are pictured above in the charity's clothing storeroom:

SIFA Fireside was launched over ten years ago as a merger of two well-established organisations: SIFA (Supporting Independence From Alcohol) and Fireside, a homelessness charity. Collectively, they have been delivering valuable services to vulnerable people for over thirty years. Birmingham Law School has partnered SIFA Fireside for four years, with student volunteers providing Streetlaw-style information sessions on a variety of key issues relevant to their service users.
