An exciting, rich, and diverse corpus of theoretical and doctrinal work currently exists within the discipline of Tort law, however, there has been comparatively little work done on how we ‘teach’ Tort: the pedagogical methods we utilise to make our teaching more inclusive; the ways we include critical perspectives into our lectures, and attempts to decolonise curriculums. These efforts reflect a profound recognition that the law should speak in inclusive terms, but that too often complex issues such as race, gender, and class are either skirted over or go wholly undiscussed.
The aim of this one day workshop is to come together and discuss our attempts or plans to bring these critical insights to the fore in the best and most effective way possible within our lecture halls and seminar rooms.
Submissions for papers are being accepted in any area within Tort law that speaks to the above issues and it is anticipated that accepted papers will be published in an edited collection.
