Welcome to Aerona Moore our new Learning and Engagement Officer

We are delighted to welcome Aerona Moore to the Lapworth Museum of Geology as our new Learning and Engagement Officer.

Aerona has over 8 years’ experience of teaching people of all ages about Earth Sciences. She has a BSc in Geoscience from the University of St Andrews, and an MSc from the University of Victoria, Canada, for which her project focussed on volcanism at mid Ocean Ridges.

The post is funded by Arts Council England, through its National Portfolio Organisation Scheme of which the Lapworth is now a member. Aerona has been at the Lapworth for a couple weeks and is fitting into the team very well!

Aerona will be drawing on experience gained as a Geopark Ranger on Arran, and teaching geology and geography on the Jurassic Coast, in order to engage Secondary Schools with the Museum.
